What? Six more inches? So much for all of my hard training. This weather is gonna make me hibernate on the couch for days…NOPE! I went riding outside yesterday. I don’t own an indoor trainer.
I dusted off the old mountain bike, affixed some packing foam fenders, and rode up Sugarloaf to Nederland. After some homemade snacks from the co-op, I caught the bus down to Boulder and thawed out. I was getting hungry, so I decided to go to THE RIO and get a burrito. Oh wait, where’s my card? I tore the house to shreds looking for that thing. After screaming, throwing things, and kicking appliances, I ventured back out into the snow to the car. While rummaging through the center console, I caught a glimpse of a burrito with wings down by the e brake! Lacking tools to take apart the car, I headed out to Boulder Cycle Sport. On the way I took a corner too fast and did a power slide into a curb with my front wheel. Great. Now I can make a right turn just by letting go of the wheel.
Luckily, Dwayne at Boulder Cycle Sport helped me take apart the car and retrieve my card so I could eat. Did I mention that Boulder Cycle Sport is the best bike shop in Boulder?
The night ended with some friends, including Mr. Whitey, at a party. We then proceeded downtown to post up at The Downer.
